Mission Mompossible Is Coming to OneTouchTV
Two mothers, two completely different ways of living. One situation puts them in the same room and refuses to let them leave until something changes.
Mission Mompossible premieres on September 28, 2026, on KBS1 and will be available to watch for free on OneTouchTV on the same date. If you enjoy Korean family dramas that feel close to real life, this one is already generating a lot of attention ahead of its release.
Two Mothers, Two Worlds, One Story
The title says everything before the first episode even begins.
On one side is a woman who spent her entire adult life putting her family first. Every decision she made, every sacrifice she chose, was for the people she loved. On the other side is a woman who made a different choice. She put herself first, built her own path, and refused to disappear into the role of mother and wife the way the world expected her to.
These two women would never have crossed paths on their own. But their children get involved with each other, and suddenly they have no choice but to deal with one another, with their differences, and with the quiet questions those differences raise about how each of them has lived.
It is a family drama, but it is really a story about two women looking at each other and seeing the version of themselves they did not become.
Who You Will Be Watching
Kim Hee-jung and Kang Kyung-hun as the Two Mothers
Kim Hee-jung and Kang Kyung-hun play the two mothers at the center of the story. Kim Hee-jung plays the woman whose identity has been built entirely around her family. Kang Kyung-hun plays the woman who chose a different path and built her life around herself. The contrast between the two characters is the engine that drives everything else in the drama.
Jung Min-ah as Da-mi
Jung Min-ah plays Da-mi, one of the younger generation whose relationship is part of what brings the two mothers together. Speaking about her character ahead of the premiere, she said the scenes where Da-mi and Seung-yoon argue with each other are the ones that stood out most to her during filming. She is looking forward to how the drama shows the two of them slowly opening up to one another.
Dong Ha as Seung-yoon
Dong Ha plays Seung-yoon, the young man on the other side of that dynamic. His relationship with Da-mi is what connects the two families, and his interactions with her carry the romantic thread running through what is otherwise a family-centered story.
What Kind of Drama Is This
Mission Mompossible is what Korean television calls a daily drama or a long-form family drama. It airs Monday through Friday, which means it builds its story slowly across many episodes and develops its characters over a longer period of time than a standard sixteen-episode series.
That format suits this particular story well. The conflict between the two mothers is not something that gets resolved in one conversation or one dramatic moment. It unfolds over time the way real disagreements between real people do. New complications appear. Old wounds come up. The children’s relationship adds pressure in unexpected directions.
The drama is not asking you to choose a side between the two mothers. It is asking you to understand both of them and to sit with the discomfort of recognizing something true in each one.
Three Things That Set This Drama Apart
The Central Conflict Is Something Real
Most people have met both types of mother in real life. The woman who gave everything to her family and the woman who refused to lose herself in that role. Neither choice comes without consequences, and neither is entirely right or wrong. Mission Mompossible puts both of them in the same story and lets the tension between them breathe.
The Younger Cast Adds a Different Layer
The romance between Da-mi and Seung-yoon gives the drama a second emotional track that runs alongside the conflict between their mothers. It is light where the family story is heavy, hopeful where the older generation is complicated. That balance keeps the drama from becoming too heavy to enjoy.
Daily Drama Pace Means More Time With the Characters
Long-form dramas have a reputation for being slow, but they also give you something that shorter dramas cannot. You actually get to know the characters. The small moments and quiet scenes that a sixteen-episode drama has to cut are what daily dramas are built on. If you get attached to people on screen, this format rewards that.

Conclusion
Mission Mompossible arrives with a premise that feels both familiar and honest. Two women who made opposite choices about how to live, brought together by circumstances neither of them would have chosen. The drama does not offer easy answers about who was right. It just puts both of them in the same space and lets you watch what happens.
Available free on the OneTouchTV app from September 28, 2026.
